My passion lies in reproduction and developmental studies and I am currently investigating the developmental genes in the Crayfish Procambus sp, crucial to embryogenesis in arthropods and vertebrates and their roles in early development and morphology. I will be studying how these genes are modified or conserved to understand the evolution of segmentation using such techniques like gene cloning, phylogenetic analysis, and in-situ hybridization.
