I am working with David Wong on the grasshopper, Schistocerca americana to study to the evolution of segmentation. I am analyzing the expression of Sa-delta in the posterior germband by in situ hybridization and comparing its expression with other pair rule orthologs. I am also attempting to functionally characterize Sa-delta by performing parental RNAi and analyzing phenotypes.
