My current project involves working with Danielle on the development of different techniques for gene knockdown and misexpression in the amphipod crustacean Parhyale hawaiensis. I am particularly interested in the possibilities for the modification and eventual application of techniques I have previously learned in Drosophila to this new organism.

Worked under G. Deshpande and P. Schedl to investigate the role of specific signaling molecules involved in embryonic germ cell migration in Drosophila melanogaster. (June – August 2005, in progress)
